Obituary

Charles Matthew Cox, Jr., age 67, husband of Nancy Gwendoline Cox of 1335 Cox Lake Road, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Seneca, SC on December 15, 1946, Mr. Cox was the son of Florence Henderson Cox of Belton and the late Charles Matthew Cox, Sr. He was a graduate of Forrest Junior College and served in the United States Air Force. He was the owner of Cox Builders. Mr. Cox was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Steven Ray Cox; daughters, Dawn Louise Lowe (David Bruce) and Donna Marie Haskett (Andy); four grandchildren, Mackenzie and Samantha Lowe and Nathan and Emily Haskett. A sister Shirley Faye Grant (Ed) also survives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Louise Kay. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Michael Allen. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 to 12:30 pm.
