Charles Thomas Fisher, age 79, went home to be with his Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Born in Anderson, SC on January 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Blair Anderson Fisher and the late Geraldine Fisher. Charles served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years. He was a paratrooper and earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Metal of Valor. He was a member of Middleton Road Baptist Church. He was a loving husband to Susan Burriss Fisher of the home, and a loving father to his children, Lisa Jones, Jane Richey, Blair Thomas Fisher, Jody Saylors, and Jon Saylors. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Blair Fisher. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Butch Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
