He retired from Daniel Construction, attended Calvary Baptist Church, and was a member of the VFW. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.Mr. Herring is survived by a grandson, a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter, Charly Ann Herring Page; his brother, James W. Herring; two sisters, Ruby Nell Herring Sharpe and Peggy Ann Herring Vassar; and a grandson, Robert Britt Brown.No services are planned for Mr. Herring at this time.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 129 North Street, Anderson, SC 29621.THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
