Charles "Bud" Robert Hoffman, 89, husband of Idella Mary Nason Hoffman, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Detroit, MI, on March 16, 1928, Bud was the son of the late Carl Gilbert Hoffman and Louise Margaret Arasmith Hoffman. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. He then began his career as an Engineer for Ford Motor Company located in Dearborn, MI retiring after over 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Charles is survived by his children, Nancy L. Hoffman and her husband Joey Brown of Anderson, and Charles Robert Hoffman, Jr. of Livonia, MI; sister, June McCracken of Auburn Hills, MI; and a grandchild, Ryan Hoffman of Nashville, TN. In addition to his parents and his wife, Bud was preceded in death by his brother Jack Hoffman, and sister Barbara McGaughey. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Philip Gillespie officiating. Interment will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
