Born in Laurens, SC, he was the son of the late William Otto McIntyre and the late Lula Belle Armstrong McIntyre. He served in the United State Air Forces and was retired from Monsanto with 32 years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife of the home their son; Ken McIntyre of Taylors, SC; three grandchildren, Krista and Keeley McIntyre of Taylors, SC, and Chase McIntyre of Ware Shoals, SC. The Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Oakbrook Memorial Cemetery in Greenwood, with the Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.
