CHARLES MC LEOD December 14, 1932 - August 27, 2006 ANDERSON, SCMr. Charles Wilson McLeod, Jr., age 73, husband of Beth Freeman McLeod of 1905 Club Drive, Anderson, SC, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 14, 1932, Mr. McLeod was a son of the late Charles Wilson McLeod and Rose Plumbo McLeod. He was a retired contractor and owner of Muts Construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and was a United States Navy Korean War veteran.Survivors include his wife, of the home; sons, Eddie Bates of Fort Thomas, KY and Donnie Bates of Toccoa, GA; daughters, Sandra Evans of Atlanta, GA, Donna Simes of St. Louis, MO and Lorna McGowan of Seattle, WA; a brother, Warren McLeod of Summit, NJ; eleven grandchildren, four of which were raised in the home, James Bates, Julie Bates, Robert Weaver and Annette McGowan.
