Charles Ernest Mullinax, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Belton, SC, he was the son of the late J.W. Mullinax and the late Fronnie Clamp Mullinax. He was a graduate of Boys High and proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for many years at Sullivan Hardware and later with Daniel Construction Company, where he retired as Superintendent at the BASF site. Charles was a member of the Elk's Club and also First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Beth M. Chapman and her husband Jerry, of Clemson, SC; a son, Greg Mullinax, of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jeff Chapman and his wife Desmond, Heather Stephens and her husband Will, Lauren Chapman, Chandler Mullinax and Hunter Mullinax; three great-grandchildren, JJ and Claire Chapman; and his long-time girlfriend, Lucy Junkins, of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Unie Lee Chandler Mullinax; five brothers and two sisters. The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
