CHARLES PRESLEYNOVEMBER 13, 1931-APRIL 11, 2009OBITUARYANDERSON, SCCharles Bristoe Presley, age 77, of 406 Berkshire Hill, husband of Mary Jo Walters Presley died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Greenville, NC, he was a son of the late Rev. Isaac Hill Presley and Rev. Mary Willette Puckett Presley. He taught music at Emmanuel College for 10 years and was the owner and president of Presley Music House, Inc. for 27 years. 'Charlie' had a devout love for music and was an accomplished pianist and vocalist. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served in various capacities for over 50 years, some of which were: choir director, organist, Deacon, and assistant Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Men's Fellowship and the Golden Age Club.Surviving in addition to his wife of over 55 years are his son, Mike Presley (Ruth) of Palmer, Alaska; daughter, Willette Poore (Jimmy) of Anderson; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Hill Presley (Mandi) of Greer and Charles Steven Presley of Anchorage, Alaska; great-grandson, Carter Jackson Presley of Greer; brother, Dr. John Moody Presley (Jane) of Port Orange, FL; and sister-in-law Frances Presley of Port Orange, FL.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Edna McAbee Presley and a brother, Rev. Warren Jackson Presley.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Reverend L. Brent Lollis, Mr. Harry Osborne, and Dr. C.Y. Melton. Mr. Presley will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday from 6pm-8pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, 603 Heyward Road in Anderson.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles B.
