CHARLES BOWEN READ April 11, 1950 - January 20, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Charles Bowen Read, age 62, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Robert Prentice Read and the late Nancy Cooke Read Tucker. He graduated from Christ Church High School in VA in 1970 and received a BA from NC Wesleyan College in May of 1974. He retired from the Department of Health and Human Services with over 20 years of service. He was an avid golfer. Charles was of the Episcopal Faith. He is survived by three brothers, H. Cooke, Robin and David Read; and a sister, Rosamond Read Patterson The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.
