He served in the United States Air Force and worked in the textile and construction industry for many years. He was of the Catholic Faith.In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Charles T. Richey of Iva and Christopher Richey of Belton; daughters, Barbara Brown of the home and Michelle Blakely of Columbia; brothers, Michael Richey of Townville, Jimmy Richey and Bobby Richey, both of La France and Davy Richey of Greenville; sisters, Patsy Stewart of Sandy Springs and Teresa Whitman of Pendleton. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by a brother, Rudolph Richey and two grandsons, Zachary Richey and Derrell Richey. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Sandy Springs Family Worship Center officiated by the Reverend Gerald Murphy.
