Charles Dwayne "Buddy" Rogers Anderson, SC Charles Dwayne "Buddy" Rogers, age 53, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on June 25, 1961, he was the son of James Richard Rogers, Jr. and Doris Frances Stanley Rogers, of Anderson. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Baptist Faith. Buddy is survived by his children, Kinta Rodney, her husband Raymond, and their children, Curstain Burdette and Makaila Rodney, of Starr, SC, Hollee Burdette and her children, Carlie Brown, Kensley Williams, and Gaige Williams, of Anderson, SC and Chassie Burdette Laye and her husband Derek, and their mother, Peggy Rogers, of Anderson, SC; a brother, James Richard "Rick" Rogers III, his wife Wanda and their son, Gerald Dixon, of Anderson; and a sister, Janice Lynn Rogers Richey, her husband Ronnie, and their sons, T.J., his wife Vanessa and Matt all of Honea Path, SC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Solomon and Lorene Deitz Stanley; paternal grandparents, James R. Rogers, Sr. and Myrtice McCurley Rogers; and an uncle, Charles D. Stanley. The Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Babb officiating. The family will be at the home of his parents, 201 Sweetbriar Circle, Anderson, SC, or the home of his daughter, Chassie, 3203 Allen Avenue, Anderson, or at their respective homes. They will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
