William Charles Sanders, 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at NHC HealthCare Anderson. Born December 6, 1931, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late John Andy Sanders and Hattie Spivey Sanders. He was married to the late Betty L. Sanders. Charles was a graduate of Boys High. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the Naval Reserves. Charles was a long-time employee of Foundry and Steel, an avid golfer and was a fan of the Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves. He is survived by his son, W.C. Sanders, Jr. and his wife, Vicki; daughter, Donna S. Moorhead; granddaughters, Blair McAlister and Brooke Sanders; and great-grandchildren, Connelly and Jack McAlister. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Oscar and Dillard Sanders. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
