OLIN SMITHFebruary 15, 1921 - April 14, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Charles Olin Smith, age 86, husband of Mrs. Alva Anderson Smith, of 106 Concord Circle, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC, on February 15, 1921, Mr. Smith was a son of the late G. Lee Smith and Bertha Lange Smith. Prior to being self-employed, Mr. Smith worked for Gillespie Construction for 15 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended the Wesley Sunday School Class.Survivors include his wife, Alva Anderson Smith of the home; daughters, Vickie Cothran and her husband Buddy, and Deborah Smith, all of Anderson; two grandchildren, Susan and David Cothran, and a sister, Martha Drake of Williamston, SC In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Max, Robert, Leroy and William Smith; 3 sisters, Leotha Burriss, Catherine McCoy and Eva Bridger.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Frank Lybrand and the Reverend C.J. Lupo. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 15, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.The family will be at the home of a daughter, Deborah Smith 109 Caribou Cove, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
