October 2, 1945 - April 18, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Charles Hague Williford, Jr., age 61, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Winston-Salem, NC on October 2, 1945, Mr. Williford was the son of the late Charles H. Williford, Sr., and Pauline Fowler Williford. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Pembroke, NC and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was currently a self-employed tax consultant and he retired from the United States Government with 25 years service. Mr. Williford was a member of the Foothills Sertoma Club. He also volunteered with the Anderson Interfaith Ministries. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and attended NewSpring Community Church.Survivors include his two daughters, Lisa Papenfus and her husband, Jeffrey of Greenville, SC and Crystal Schroeder and her husband, Adam of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Charlene Williford Lewis of Raleigh, NC and Betty W. Barefoot and her husband, Carl of Hope Mills, NC; granddaughter, Lily Schroeder; nephew, Christopher Barefoot and fianc'e Denise Ross of Anderson, SC.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Harper officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park, Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC with the Reverend Michael Naylor officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the chapel service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Sertoma c/o Foothills Sertoma Club, P.O.
