Wright, age 85, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late J. G. Wright, Sr. and Eula B. Harbin Wright. Mr. Wright was the owner and operator of Wright Provisions for over 30 years. He also served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Mr. Wright is survived by his children, son; Charles "Chase" Wright of Anderson, daughters; Diana Vaughn, of Mt. Pleasant, Dr. Deborah Payne, of Tryon, NC, Terry Spenks, of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Duan, of VA and a step-daughter, Carmen McCarty of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Robert "Bobby" Wright; brothers, Joe G. Wright and James William "Bill" Wright; sister, Margaret Elletson. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with William R. West, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
