Charles Weston Kay, Jr., age 54, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to his loving wife of 35 years, Windy Branham Kay, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Francis Downtown. Born March 10, 1967, in Anderson, SC, he is the son of Martha Rhodes Kay Childress and the late Charles Weston Kay. Charlie was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, Class of 1985, and worked as a truck driver for TTI for 35 years. He loved animals and was a hardworking, soft spoken, happy, very kind, gentle, and patient man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of NewSpring Church. In addition to his wife, Windy, and mother, Martha, he is survived by his children, Jacob Clayton Kay and his wife Kelsey Leigh Kay, Charles Weston Kay, III and his wife Katie Taylor Kay, and Mikaylen Dawn Kay; grandchildren, Jace Tatum Loch, Skyleigh Ryder Kay, and Waylon James Kay; and half-sisters, Joyce Rhodes, Carol Roberts, and Charlene Hodge. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Wendell Rhodes officiating. The family will be at the home of his mother.
