McCurry & Lula Evans McCurry. After graduating Crescent High School, Mr. McCurry entered into the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam Era. He was a True Temper retiree and was an avid writer of poetry as well as musical lyrics.He is survived by his brother, Bill McCurry of Iva, SC; his sisters: Georgia M. Gray of Seneca, SC, and Doris M. Smith of Iva, SC; five nieces, and two nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack McCurry.The Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Rudy Gray. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30pm until 2:30pm, prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Iva City Cemetery.The family is at their respective homes.
