Charlotte Jean Carr Scripp, age 90, of Lexington, GA, formerly of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Born June 13, 1933, in North Platte, NE, she was the daughter of the late Ora R. Carr and Hope E. Rosencrants Carr. She was married to Ronald Scripp until his death in 2022. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harlan Carr. Charlotte was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. During her time in the military, she was a radio mechanic and was an Airman 2nd Class. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 121 in Williamston. Following her military career, she was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Jo Shinholser (Robert) of Lexington, GA, and Rhonda Lea Bond (Randy) of St. Maries, ID; grandchildren, Dustin Shinholser (Catherine), Nick Bond, and Hillary Bond; and great grandchildren, Benjamin and Addison Shinholser.
