Chip "Chipper" Carl Morton, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, died peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2022, the day after his 42nd birthday. Chip lived in Easley and grew up in Greenville, SC. He went to Westcliffe Elementary, Berea Middle and Berea High School where he played football, never missing a game, and lettered for 3 years. Chip graduated in 1999 and was employed with Red Line Construction. He was loved by all who knew him and he would always put a smile on your face. He was kind, generous and called his dad his best friend! Chip will be missed forever. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Sarah Morton; older sister, Tricia Ann Morton; and his much loved niece, Alijah Patterson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Anderson, SC, with Father Jairo Calderon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615. Flowers will be accepted and the family will be at their respective homes.
