Christina Cameron Oeberst Nordeen, age 55, of Seneca, went to be with her Lord and Savior upon her death at her residence on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Born in San Luis Obispo, CA on May 11, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hildebrandt Oeberst and the late Sue Cameron Paulhamus. For over thirty-four years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Dr. John Howard Nordeen of the residence. Mrs. Nordeen was a graduate of Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, where she received a Registered Dietitian Degree. While she practiced as a Dietitian at a hospital in California for a short time, her primary role and the one to which she was totally devoted was that of homemaker and stay at home mother. Christina was a member of NewSpring Church, Clemson Campus, where she served on the Prayer Team. She was a faithful prayer warrior, constantly praying for family, friends, and other members of the congregation. In addition to her husband, Dr. Nordeen, she is survived by a son, Christopher John Nordeen of Seneca; three daughters, Kirstie Cameron Dickey and her husband, Stephen, of Lexington, SC, Caroline Elinor Nordeen of Seneca, SC, and Sara Audrey Nordeen, also of Seneca; one brother, David Oeberst and his wife, Kim, of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters, Dr. Jaime Oeberst and her husband, Bart Norton, of Missoula, MT, Michele Oeberst and her husband, Ed Samaha, of Walnut Creek, CA; and Shauna Gallagher of Folsom, CA; and two grandchildren, Elijah Stephen and Cameron Elisabeth Dickey, both of Lexington, SC. A Memorial Service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Christina Nordeen will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve E. Dickey officiating.
