Christopher "Chris" Clayton McConnell, age 37, of Anderson, SC passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. Born February 12, 1980, in Anderson, SC, Chris is the son of Robert McConnell and Deborah Stone McConnell. In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his brother, Eddie McConnell and his fianc, Amanda Litch of Columbia, SC; first cousin, Katie and Joseph Walden of Anderson, SC , and their children, Emma and Reid; special aunt, Donna Dean of Anderson, SC; special uncles, Tony and LuAnn Stone of Greenville, SC and Dr. Daniel McConnell of Anderson, SC. He was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, class of 1998 and was employed with BMW. Chris was a devoted follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and attended Electric City Fellowship. He enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, watching movies, and laughing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hollis and Sara Stone and Dan and Neva McConnell. The funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2017 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Lister officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 pm. A private family committal will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
