The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, South Carolina 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY WITH PHOTOGRAPHCINDY FRANKLINAPRIL 17, 1940 - DeceMBER 11, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Cynthia 'Cindy' Lucille Humphries Franklin, age 70, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born April 17, 1940, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Desco Humphries and Hazel Humphries Conrad. Mrs. Franklin retired from Wamsutta and AnMed Health Medical Center. She raised her family in Fellowship Baptist Church for over twenty years under the teachings of Reverend Jerry Sivensky, Reverend Michael Riley, and the Reverend Dale Bradley. She then transferred her church membership to Temple Baptist Church where she attended under the teaching of Dr. Larry Pearson. Later, she found a smaller church closer to home, Bible Baptist Church, where God's word was proclaimed by Reverend Ken Whitt.Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Dave 'Ted' Franklin; children: David Franklin and wife, Debby, Tanya Donald and husband, Steve, Darryl Franklin and wife, Beverly, Dale Franklin and wife, Laurel, and Douglas Franklin and wife, Samantha; grandchildren: Justin, Brandon, Holly, Preston, Bo, Dee, Jon, Josh, Stephen, Jarrett, Lily, Zachary, and Cameron; great grandchild, Kaitlyn; brothers & sisters: Carl Humphries, Angeline Hopkins Chambers, Patricia Ayers, Chuck Humphries, Brinda Vaughn, Linda Greene, Bobby Humphries, Betty Minter, Elaine Blackwell, and Wayne Moody; brother-in-law, Zach Zaczkiewicz; nephew, Ronnie Zaczkiewicz; and niece, Tanya Reagor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step father, Charles 'Charlie' Conrad; her step mother, Frances Humphries; her sister, Rita Hinson; her brother, Gerald Moody; and a special sister-in-law, Lerlene Zaczkiewicz.The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Temple Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Michael Riley, the Reverend Ken Whitt, and the Reverend Dr. Larry Pearson. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Dale Franklin, 115 McClain Lake Drive, Anderson, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 509 Old Asbury Road, Anderson, SC 29625.A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comTHE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME, Anderson.
