Clara Elizabeth Gosnell Childs, age 88, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Clyde Billy Childs for 55 years, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born January 9, 1934, in Joanna, SC, she was the daughter of the late Andy James Gosnell and Othella Fuller "Faye" Gosnell. Clara retired from BASF. She loved to cook, especially making biscuits. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Robert Benny Childs, Phyllis Ann Rion, Debbie Gay O'Connor, and Cheri Teresa Wharton; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
