Clara Melissa Fulghum Edmonds, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at her residence. Born in Canon, GA on October 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert Verner Fulghum and the late Leonia Smith Fulghum. She was a graduate of Lavonia High School and was previously employed with True Temper, Centerville Dress Shop, and Centerville Elementary School Lunchroom. She was a faithful member of Oakwood Baptist Church, where she formally served as a Sunday School teacher, a librarian, a choir member and the chairperson of the social committee. She was the loving and devoted wife to Cecil D. Edmonds for more than 60 years; two loving sons, Ron Edmonds and his wife Sissy and Randy Edmonds and his wife Laura; a brother, Billy Fulghum and his wife Doris; two sisters, Geneva Jones and her husband Alton and Pat Gunnells and her husband Larry; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Smith and Emma Ruth Eskew; three brothers, Robert Fulghum, Jr., Alton Fulghum, and Coy Fulghum; and great-granddaughter, Jenna Leigh Edmonds. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Guy Roberts officiating. Entombment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
