CLARA BELLE WHITFIELD McABEE December 13, 1918 - September 25, 2013 PENDLETON, SC Clara Belle Whitfield McAbee, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Lugene Whitfield and the late Ettie Clifford Wooten Whitfield. She worked in textiles for many years at the Pendleton Finishing Plant. Clara was a member of Bishop Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" McAbee, of Welford, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jarret McAbee; two brothers, Grady and Clyde Whitfield; and three sisters, Gladys Chastain, Nina Carlan and Hazel Herron. The Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Bishop Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Leon Porter officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service at the church social hall.
