Clarence H. Broome, Jr. age 81, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Williamston, SC on May 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Clarence H. Broome and the late Lillian Huey Broome. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Abney Mills. Clarence was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Acker Broome; a son, Billy Joe Broome; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Steve Broome; two brothers; one sister; and two great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Aaron Ramsey and Reverend Paul Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 1324 George Albert Lake Road, Anderson, SC 29624.
