Clarence A, Davis, 74, of Iva, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Born August 13, 1944 in Iva, he was a son of the late Brad and Frances Lawrence Davis. He was the minister of music and member of Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was very devoted to the Lord's work, his family and his church. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra Lawton Davis; children, Susan Davis Moree and her husband, Jeff of Greer, SC, Shane Davis and his wife, Kim of Watkinsville, GA and Jon Davis and his wife, Heather of Greenwood, SC; niece, Kelly Shaw and her husband, Robert; special friend, Alan Smith; grandchildren, Michaela, Davis, Anna, Abby, Kierdyn, Grace, Will, Andrew, Autumn, Averi, Ashley, Nick, Brittany and Andrew; brothers, Ernest Davis and his wife Mildred and Lawrence Davis and his wife Wanda; brother-in-law, Tommy Lawton and his wife, Carol; mother-in-law, Grace Lawton; aunt, Mickey Lawton and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1803 Hwy 81 South, Starr, SC. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the church with Rev. Les Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in Iva City Cemetery.
