Claude S. "Henry" Westbrook, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Fred Westbrook and the late Lou Ella McAbee Westbrook. Claude proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After 30 years of service, he retired from Daniels Construction, where he was a crane operator and foreman. He was also a member of VFW 5998. Mr. Westbrook was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Teddy S. Westbrook of Anderson; two daughters, Claudette (Robbie) Tench of Starr and Nancy (Tim) Culbertson of Anderson; two sisters, Bonnie Simmons and Frances Lowie, both of Anderson; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and Brian; one great grandchild, Brooklynn and his caregiver and mother of his children, Harriette Crawford Westbrook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Westbrook Jr. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 4:00PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Dickson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Claudette Tench, 100 Agnew Farm Way, Starr, SC.
