The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARYCLAUDIA CAMPBELLJanuary 23, 1920 - January 16, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Claudia Inez Fletcher Campbell, age 89, of 504 Bagwell Road, Piedmont, SC, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born outside of Tampa, FL, she was a resident of Anderson, SC for the majority of her adult life until her recent illness in which she moved into the home of John and Miranda Hayes in Piedmont, SC. Claudia worked all her life in Gluck Mill in Anderson, SC and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved her home in Homeland Park, enjoying gardening and driving her antique Mustang. She adored her family and for many years cared for her ailing brother, O. T., prior to his death. She had a great sense of humor, very down to earth and she loved to dance. Mrs. Campbell was the widow of Thomas Jefferson Campbell and the mother of the late Thomas Jefferson Campbell, Jr. Mrs. Campbell was a daughter to George and Addie Fletcher and a sister to O.T., Robert and Jesse Fletcher and Rubye Vermillion and Pauline Rodgers, all deceased.She is survived by two nieces, Connie Hayes and Sharon Rodgers and nephew Dan Vermillion; a great-niece Temple Hayes and great-nephews Nelson Hayes and his wife Tracy and John Hayes and his wife Miranda.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 1:00 pm in The Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Temple Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at funeral home.
