Anderson, SC Claudia Annette Pressley Coppage, age 71, wife of Henry Pearson Coppage, passed away at her residence peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, February 14, 2015, to go to be with her Lord and family. Born in Anderson, SC, on September 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Pressley and the late Geraldine Pressley Allen. She was an active member of High Praises Church until declining in health. She was a long-time employee of Regions Bank, and she retired from First Citizens Bank. In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by her sons, Cody Vaughn of Florida and Ryan Coppage of Anderson; daughters, Lisa Rapien and her husband Bernie of Williamston, SC, Dina Taylor and her husband Brad of Anderson, and Kendal Bennett of Anderson; her sister, Mary Bauer and her husband George of Simpsonville, SC; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Anthony "Tony" Vaughn and her sister, Patricia "Patsy" Lowe. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Sustar and Pastor Scott Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Everyone who knew Annette will never forget her smile and laughter. The family wants to especially thank Providence Hospice and all friends and family for their care of her during her final days.
