Claudia Galloway Gilmore, age 74, of Piedmont, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 15, 2018. Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late B. F. Galloway and the late Sylvia Smith Galloway. She was a graduate of Palmetto High School. Ms. Gilmore was a homemaker who devoted her life to her beloved granddaughter, Briley Welborn Brock. She attended Shiloh United Methodist Church, Piedmont. In addition to her granddaughter Briley, Mrs. Gilmore is survived by a son, Scott Welborn of Piedmont; a daughter, Traci Welborn of Piedmont; and two sisters, Gayle Marion of Williamston and Becky Rainey and her husband, Wade, of West Pelzer. In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by a brother, Don Galloway. At her request, the family will hold a private ceremony at a later time.
