CLAUDIA TILLEY August 14, 1930 - October 11, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Claudia Lee Whitten Tilley, age 82, of 215 Huntington Drive, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at her residence. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Claude Kenny Whitten and the late Jessie Leon Crowe Whitten. She graduated from Girls High and from the Carolina School of Commerce. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Sullivan Motors Arnett Motors and Sir Pontiac. She was an enthusiastic and loyal Clemson Fan. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she held many positions within the church including Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She is survived by her son, Mike Tilley of the home; three sisters, Betty Perry, Frances Callaway and Gloria Whitten all of Anderson; and a brother, Larry Whitten of Anderson. She is also survived by her loving dog, Precious. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday October 13, 2012 at 2:30 pm with Reverend Phil McAlister and Revered David Pickens officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her sister, Frances Callaway, 127 Reed Place, and will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
