Cleo Irene Roberts, age 79, of Anderson, SC, was escorted by angels to her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 22, 2015. There, she will rest from her labors where there will be no more sickness or pain. This sweet Christian lady was born in Anderson, SC and loved everyone. She was the daughter of the late H.T. "Hawk" Jordan and the late Annie Mae Tinsley Jordan. She attended Girl's High School and worked for 14 years at Garretts in Anderson and two bridal shops. Cleo was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Past memberships include Whitefield, Oakwood, and Temple Baptist Church. Cleo was gloriously saved in 1966 and was faithful to her Lord in worship and in ministry. She enjoyed teaching children and serving for more than 40 years. Cleo was devoted to her family and served them with a deep abiding love. Her love of gospel music was well known. She enjoyed singing with her husband and son, Brad at family gatherings and at church. Cleo also assisted her husband in leading "Divorce Care" and "Grandparenting" workshops. She will be remembered for the many friendships she enjoyed. She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Roberts; three sons, Bradley Roberts and his wife Karen, of Simpsonville, Keith Roberts and his wife Kyra of Anderson, SC and Timmy Roberts and his wife Melody of Anderson, SC; brothers, James, Larry and Bill Jordan, all of Anderson, SC.; sisters, Doris Ethridge, and Barbara Wilson, both of Anderson, SC; and eight grandchildren: Audrey, Moriah, Grace, Chase, Clarissa, Evan, Jesse, and Emma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ida Mae Hanna, Mildred Peace and Joyce Thomason The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Guy Roberts and Dr. Don Cox officiating. A private entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at 108 Reed Place, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday evening October 23, 2015 from 6-8:00pm. Flowers will be accepted.
