Mr. Clifton Loyde Loftis, 88, of 320 Chaffin Road, Iva, SC died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at his home. He was the son of the late Caruth and Eunice Purdy Loftis born in Iva, SC on April 16th, 1928. Mr. Loftis was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church and retired from Jackson Mills after 38 years as a doffer. Mr. Loftis is survived by his loving wife of 70 years: Mrs. Juanita Hanks Loftis; three daughters: Brenda Metz and husband Bronson of Iva, SC, Debbie Buchanan and husband Terry of Iva, SC, and Vickie Adams and husband Inman of Hartwell, GA; one brother: Bobby Loftis and one sister Ellen Loftis Holbrook both of Iva, SC; six grandchildren: Kimberly Blackwell and husband Steve, Carmen Hamby and husband Tim, Candace Madden and husband Brent, Kelsey Buchanan and boyfriend Joseph, Bryan T. Adams and wife Christie-Anna, and Russell Adams and wife Renee; eleven great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 3:00pm at Rocky River Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Loftis family will receive friends from 1:30-p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the church prior to the funeral. At other times the family will be at 320 Chaffin Road, Iva, SC.
