Grady Clinkscales Dean, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Summit Place of Anderson. He was born January 5, 1926 in Anderson and was a son of the late Casper Eugene Dean and Katie Elizabeth Hembree Dean. Clink was the last surviving member of his immediate family having also been preceded in death by his brothers, Leon, Harold, Wilton and Carey Dean, and his sisters, Vermelle Campbell, Lucille Bradberry, and Ruth Drake. Clink was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after many years with the company and was also a member of the Retiree's Club. He was a long-time member of Starr Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 70 wonderful years, Betty D. Dean; sisters-in-law, Emily Fowler and Margaret Duffell (Carl); and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 12:30-1:30 pm at Starr Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tony Howell officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Starr Baptist Church, P.O. Box 137, Starr, SC 29684.
