Clinton Grady Daniel, 92, of Iva, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born August 31, 1926 in Elberton, GA, he was a son of the late George Thomas and Vesta Ward Daniel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fay Wiles Daniel; sisters, Nettie Mullenix, Sara Tomlinson, Nanny Teasley and Cecil Charping and his brothers, Amos, Parker, Wilson and Clyde Daniel. He served in the United States Army in the Philippines, during WWII. He retired from the Jackson Mill as a Tie End Operator. Clinton is survived by his sons, Billy Daniel (Cindy) of Iva and Horace Daniel (Susan) of Greenwood; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McMillion officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1-2:30pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Iva City Cemetery.
