OBITUARY, FLAGCLINT HAWKSJune 27, 1948 - November 2, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Clinton Merrell Hawks, age 59, of 220 Shoal View Drive passed away at his residence on November 2, 2007.Born in Bleckley, West Virginia on June 27, 1948, he was a son of the late William Cabble Hawks and Minnie Frances Boyles Hawks. Clint served two years in the United States Marine Corp and had formerly worked for the United States Postal Service and in the Textile Industry. He was an avid coin collector and dearly loved photography.Mr. Hawks is survived by his wife, Vickie Childress Hawks; their children: Clinton Merrell Hawks, Jr. of China Grove, NC, Christopher Dean Hawks of Anderson, and Micalana Denise Oliver of Anderson; grandchildren: Cullen Oliver, Jesse Hawks, Kelsie Oliver, Cabble Hawks, Alex Hawks, and Garrett Hawks; sisters: Janet Puckett of Ohio, Dorothy Ritchye of Virginia, Sharon Gross of Virginia, and Myra Coffee of Anderson; brothers: Carson Hawks of West Virginia and Michael Hawks of Texas. In addition to his parents, Clint was preceded in death by two sisters: Wilma Connell and Billie Miller.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Steve Silvey.
