Clyde Thomas Hunter, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born July 3, 1945, in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late William Clyde Hunter and Gillie Ann Gainey Hunter. He was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Billy Lynch, Betty Lynch, and Matha Lynch.

Clyde was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was a mechanical engineer with BASF for 33 years before retiring. He also loved roofing and at an early age he started Hunter's Home Services. He was active in coaching football, baseball, and basketball for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, poker, and traveling all over the United States.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Suzanne Askew Hunter; sons, Andy Hunter (Brittany) and Christopher Keith Hunter (Leah); sisters, Julie McEber and Kay Ludoff; grandchildren, Ashley Brooke Hunter and Cole A. Hunter; and many nieces and nephews.
