Clyde D. Lowe, 87, of Belton, SC passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born May 30, 1930 in Anderson County, SC, he was a son of the late Ivey Horace Lowe and the late Reba Simpson Lowe. Clyde was a graduate of Honea Path High School class of 1946 and served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He retired with over 34 years of service from McCoy Lumber Company. He was a faithful member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, Sunday school treasurer and a lifelong member of Kay McCurry Sunday school class. He was a cattle farmer, and avid hunter and gardener. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Fleming Lowe; son, Rodney Scott Lowe (Adele); daughter, Melanie Lowe Cole (Chris); brother, Ivey Lowe; sisters, Frances Lloyd and Susie Hall; grandchildren, Jessica Bishop, Lance Lowe and Alex Dalton and great grandchildren, Audrianna and Gabriella. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Lowe and sister, Shirley Moss. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service with military honors will be held in the sanctuary at 2:30 pm Sunday with Rev. Mark Krieger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt.
