Coda Rebecca Wilson Horne, age 91, passed away on March 8, 2016, at her home, leaving her devoted husband of 58 years, Charles N. Horne, Jr. and her loving children, daughter, Shannon L. Cox and sons, Charles N. Horne, III, Christopher E. Horne, and Alexander W. Horne; grandchildren, J. Kelley Hargis, Colleen S. Hargis, K. Oliver Horne, and Mason A. Horne; great-granddaughter, Emily J. Hargis; and nieces Jane A. Smith (Richard), Paula W. McKeown (Sam), and Lillian A. Swain (John). She was predeceased by beloved daughter, Emily W. Horne; her parents, Fletcher Eugene Wilson, and Estelle Adams Wilson; brother, James Hugh Wilson; and sister, Emily Wilson Ashley. Mrs. Horne loved her Lord, her family, her church family, and friends young and old. She was the church historian and delighted in researching records about family, community, and church. She will be remembered for her faith, her strength and determination, and her sense of humor. It was her hope to hear someday, "Well done, good and faithful servant," and she lived her life accordingly. The Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Justin Phillips, at Broadmouth Baptist Church, on Saturday, March 12, at 3:00 p.m. followed by a Going Home Party. Private Burial will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Saturday, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Broadmouth Baptist Church, 543 Broadmouth Church Road, Honea Path, SC 29654.
