Colonel Levis Brooks, 89 of Belton, SC, passed away, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born April 19, 1931, in Anderson, SC, and was the son of the late William and Ethel (Felcker) Brooks. Colonel was a member of Cross Hill Church of God. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Betty Davis Brooks of the home; son, Dennis Brooks of Palm Beach, FL; daughters, Elaine Wisnell and Debra Bruton both of Anderson, SC; brother, Winfred Brooks of Piney Flats, IN; sister, Martha Edwards of Greenville, SC; and 15 grandchildren. A cryptside service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Bro. Larry Richardson and Rev. John Christmas officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross Hill Church of God, 1703 SC-252, Belton, SC 29627.
