Coltin James Sligh, age 33, passed away suddenly on May 31, 2023, in Cleveland, TN. Born April 5, 1990, Coltin was the son of Sharon Phae Polnac and her husband Jason Polnac, and Robert T. Sligh, Jr. and his wife Michelle Sligh. It is with great sadness we announce the death of our dear Coltin. He was a light in the dark and a joy to be around. Even when he struggled with his mental health, he pushed forward every day to strive and to make others happy. If you were down and out, he could lift your spirits within seconds. Coltin did something most people could never do and overcame his struggles by giving his life to God. He was one of the most beautiful, amazing, giving, funny and charismatic people you could ever have the luxury of being around. Coltin was a very Christian man, a very loving man, and the most generous man I have ever met. When you hear people say they will give you the shirt off their back, well, when it comes to my brother, that saying is in the literal sense. Coltin was loved by many and will be missed heavily. Fly high and watch over us until we meet again. Including his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Patience Phae Sligh; sisters, Alex Tyler Sligh and Olivia Sligh; wife, Debi Ackerman; grandparents, Robert Sligh, Sr. and wife Donna Sligh and Sharon K. Wright; aunts, Susan K. Dutton, Bridgette Smith, and Angel Dickard; and cousin, Austin Silvers. A celebration of Coltin's life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will greet guests following the service.
