Connice Virginia Smith Kirby, age 86, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Born July 22, 1939, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Smith and Dollie Morris Smith. She was married to Bobby Joe Kirby until his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Smith, Sr.; sister, Betty Jean Roland; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Connice loved to dance. She and her husband enjoyed dancing at the VFW. She was a homebody who loved being a homemaker and spending time at her pool.

She is survived by her son, Joel Scott Kirby; one grandchild; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
