Connie Louise Lewis, age 82, of Raleigh, NC, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at her home. Born September 8, 1940, in Lowndesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gillis Lewis and Eloise Hill Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Lewis; and sister, Barbara Lewis Anderson. Connie was a hard worker and was employed with Preston Development until the time of her death. She loved shopping, decorating, growing orchids, and going to the beach. But most of all, she loved her family and her family of friends. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church in Lowndesville. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Buster Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces, Marcia Anderson (Peter Pawling) of Honolulu, HI, and Cindy Lewis of Six Mile, SC; niece-in-law, Sandy Anderson; nephews, Billy Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Mark Lewis (Paula) of Belton, SC; 1 great niece and 6 great nephews. The family will receive friends, Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11:00 am at Smyrna United Methodist Church, Lowndesville, with Rev. Scotty Willoughby and Joey Potts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
