McDuffie Street, Extension, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, Connie was a daughter of the late Henry Holmes and Leila Gary Holmes. She retired from K-Mart and was a long-time volunteer for A. I. M. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a caring mother, grandmother and loving wife who was dedicated to her family and the needs of others. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Hoyt T. Vickery; her sons; Randy Vickery, Todd Vickery and his wife, Gwynne, and Dennis Vickery and his wife, Dana, all of Anderson; five grandchildren; Tyler, Hunter and Caroline Vickery, Blaise and Mason Owens. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Eugene Vickery. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Greg Hamman and Reverend Paul Williams. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
