Connie Ruth Westbrook Wiles, 86, formally of Antreville, SC passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born October 29, 1932 in Anderson, SC she was the daughter of the late John Westbrook and Mattie Henderson Westbrook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Wiles; brothers, R.L. Westbrook, Conard Westbrook and Dewey Westbrook; and sisters Evelyn Smith, Imogene Hawkins and Frances Pruitt. Ruth worked as a weaver for Clark-Schwebel, retiring after 38 years of service. She was also a faithful member of Bells United Methodist Church in Antreville, SC. She loved her family and friends, keeping up with her grandchildren on Facebook, fishing, sewing and painting artwork. Her home for the last four years was NHC of Anderson where she was lovingly cared for by staff on Station 3. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Reeves (Hank); sons, Barry Callaham (Laura Kinley) and Ralph Callaham, Jr. (Betty Jo Whitaker); brother, Jimmy Westbrook (Betty); five grandchildren, Tracy Smith (Jamie), Hank Reeves, Jr. (Toni), Jason Callaham, Chrissy Bryant (Chris) and Heather Callaham; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Janie and will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at The McDouglad Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery, Antreville, SC.
