Conny Lee Dempsey Mr. Conny Lee Dempsey, 66, of Anderson, SC went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2015. He was born on July 2, 1949 to the late John W. and Helen Louise Higgins Dempsey in Siler City, NC. He was employed before his retirement with BASF Company as a Human Resources Manager and was there for 40 years. Mr. Dempsey and his wife are members of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. He achieved an Associate's Degree from Anderson College in Business Management. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Virginia E. Dempsey of their home; a son: Kevin Dempsey and his wife Allison of Greenwood, SC and one step daughter: Trayce McAleer of Piscataway, NJ; one brother: Dr. William Dempsey and his wife Pam of Rome, GA ad one step sister: Juanita Murphy and her husband Joe of Anderson; one grandson: Jackson Dempsey and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Dempsey was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack and Ralph Dempsey. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00pm with Dr. William Dempsey officiating. The family will be at their respective residences at other times.
