Corinne Robinson Hamby, age 79, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC. Born in Greenville, SC on February 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Bentley Charles Robinson and the late Annie Dolores Douglas Robinson. Corrine was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC and was a passionate animal lover. She was a faithful member of West Anderson Church of God, where she enjoyed volunteering and traveling with the church groups. She will be deeply missed by her family who will treasure all the special memories of her. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Carroll and her husband George; a son, Daniel Hamby and his wife Sonya; a twin sister, Christine Joyner; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Hamby; a son, Everette Hamby; a step-son, Eddie Hamby; two brothers; and one sister. The funeral service will be held at West Anderson Church of God on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverends Mark Daniel and John Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at her residence, and will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Flowers are optional, or memorials may be made to West Anderson Church of God, 101 Rogers St., Anderson, SC 29625.
