Mrs. Cornelia Estelle Timmerman Stephens, died at Ellenburg Nursing Center in Anderson, SC on August 11th, 2015 at age 100. She was born on April 21, 1915 to the late George Bell and Nannie Ball Corley Timmerman in Edgefield, SC. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Anderson and worked as a spinner for Orr Lyons Mill and later Wamsutta.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by two daughters: Vivian G. Hart and husband William and Betty G. Rhodes and husband Horace all of Anderson, SC; one son: Bill Gunnells of Anderson, SC; two brothers: Ray Timmerman and wife Ruth and Allen Timmerman and wife Evalee all of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three husbands: Robert Leroy Gunnells, Mack McCollough, and Bill Stephens; two grandchildren; two sisters: Laura Fortney and Cleola Arthur and five brothers: Carl, Wayman, Floyd, Ben, and Curtis Timmerman.
A graveside service will be held at New Silver Brook Cemetery on August 12th, 2015 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Tom Owen officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
At other times the family will be at their respective homes.
