Born in Anderson, SC on February 13, 1997, Courtney was the daughter of Lisa Mays and Jessi Miller. She attended Lakeside Middle School and was a promising 9th grade student of Westside High School. She attended Freedom Center, formerly 1st Assembly of God and was an avid photographer. Courtney was a loving and caring person to all who needed a shoulder to lean on. Her favorite quote was 'The Meaning of life is to give life a Meaning'.Survivors include her mother, Lisa Mays and her husband, Joseph of the home; father, Jessi Miller and his wife, Jennifer of Anderson; brothers, Evan Motes, Michael Miller, Jonathan Mays and Jeremy Mays, all of Anderson; grandparents, Sheron and Ronny Simmons of Anderson, Landis Evans of Atlanta, Dale Miller of Anderson, Donald Miller of Townville, Sandra Mays and David Mays of Anderson and great-grandmother, Wilma Evans. The family will receive friends at the Freedom Center on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon with the funeral following at 12:30 pm officiated by the Reverends Jeremy Sears and Phil Sears. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
